ProTeam Upper Harness Assembly - ProVac FS6 Backpack

Part 840112 replaces the upper section of the carrying harness on ProTeam's triangular-body backpack line, the assembly that anchors the shoulder straps to the top of the frame before the load passes down into the padding.

Fits the ProTeam GoFree Flex Pro, GoFree Flex Pro II, Super Coach Pro 10, Super Coach Pro 6, ProVac FS 6, 1073110, and 1073120.

This section of the harness takes the sharpest angle of pull, since it is where the straps change direction from running down the wearer's chest to anchoring flat against the frame. Stitching here works loose before it does almost anywhere else on the harness, and once a seam has started to separate or the anchor point itself has cracked, the load shifts unevenly onto whatever is left holding, which speeds up the failure instead of slowing it down. Left long enough, a failing upper mount can let a strap pull free entirely mid-shift, which is not a small inconvenience when the machine weighs what it does and the operator is mid-task with both hands on the wand.

Replacing the full assembly resets the geometry of the harness rather than patching a single strap, since the upper mount sets the angle for everything below it. Inspect the lower harness hardware while the assembly is out, since a mount under this much stress rarely fails in isolation from everything downstream of it.
