The 40 foot Rapid Flex hose, part HS402154P, is the mid length in the Hide A Hose retractable line. Its selling point is the tubing itself: a larger diameter than the older sock hose, which raises airflow through the hose by 20 to 30 percent at the same motor.
Soft flexible nylon does the rest of the work. The material is scratch resistant and needs no hose sock over it, and it pulls out and retracts with less effort than the sock hoses it replaced, which is what most people notice first after a swap.
A mini cuff comes fitted at the end, the blue 1-3/8 inch HS5000H5, so attachments push straight on with no coupler between the hose and the tool. That counts for more on a longer hose, where a coupler at the tool end is one more joint able to leak air.
Confirm 40 feet against the hose currently installed rather than estimating from how far it reaches now.
