Where a receiver is already installed, part HS302195 is the handle on its own: a Direct Connect Ready Grip with RF and a built in air regulator, sold as the sender half with no receiver in the box. It assumes the receiving end of the system is in place and working.
Up to ten handles can run from one receiver, so this is also the part to order when adding a second or third grip to a house rather than replacing one that has failed.
The air regulator is a vent on the grip, opened to ease suction on light fabric and closed for full pull on carpet. As a moving part it can stick or stop closing fully with age, which shows up as suction that never reaches full strength even with the vent shut. Closing it fully is worth doing before anything else when suction seems down, since a regulator left slightly open accounts for more weak-suction complaints than any failed part.
Older Hide A Hose hoses may need an adapter for the direct connection, with the mini cuff being the usual part. Test a new sender close to the receiver first, since a weak signal at distance looks the same as a failed handle.
