SEBO Retaining Ring, Single...

Product details

One gray black retaining ring, catalogued by SEBO as 5424GS1 and sold on its own for the machine currently in pieces on the bench. It locks a hose coupling into its socket so the joint cannot work its way loose while the vacuum is running.

What sends people looking for this number is nearly always the same sequence. The coupling stops clicking home firmly, then starts backing out during cleaning, and pickup at the floor tails off as air leaks in at the joint instead of being drawn through the nozzle. Pull the tired ring, check the groove is clean, press the new one in, and the coupling locks solidly again. No tools, no adjustment, no dismantling beyond the coupling itself.

SEBO uses the gray black ring across three families. The AUTOMATIC uprights covered are the X1, X2, X4, X4 Boost and X5; the ESSENTIAL uprights are the G1, G2, G4 and G5; the earlier machines are the 300 MECHANICAL, 350 MECHANICAL, 370 COMFORT and ELECTRONIC 370. Match the finish as carefully as the number, because silver rings are used elsewhere in the range and the two are not interchangeable on appearance.

  • Order code: 5424GS1
  • Count: one ring
  • Shade: gray black
  • AUTOMATIC uprights: X1, X2, X4, X4 Boost, X5
  • ESSENTIAL uprights: G1, G2, G4, G5
  • Earlier machines: 300 MECHANICAL, 350 MECHANICAL, 370 COMFORT, ELECTRONIC 370
  • Ten-pack: 5424GS

Keep the packaging until the ring is seated. Fitted correctly it lies flush in its groove, with no proud edge anywhere around the circumference, and that flush seat is what stops the coupling working loose again the following week.

Genuine SEBO retaining ring, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
