This genuine OEM Rexair-Rainbow clamp ring segment (Part #R2585) fits the D4 and D4SE. The segment is part of the clamp ring that draws the machine's sections together and holds them clamped for a sealed fit.

A clamp ring segment can crack, bend, or lose its grip over repeated latching, and once it does the sections no longer pull tight, which allows air and dust to leak at the seam. A weak clamp can also let the assembly shift during use. Fitting the correct segment restores a firm, sealed clamp.
