This genuine OEM Rexair-Rainbow lower fan spacer (Part #R2679B) sets the clearance beneath the fan on the D4C motor and also serves the D4 and D4SE. It positions the fan on the shaft so air is drawn through the motor along its intended path.

A lower spacer that has worn or cracked lets the fan sit out of position, and that misalignment can produce vibration, noise, or a loss of suction. Poor spacing also puts added load on the motor and speeds bearing wear. Installing the correct spacer restores the proper gap and steady airflow.
