Part R4882 is the complete 120-volt motor assembly for the Rainbow Power Mate: the motor inside the power nozzle that drives the brush roll, not the suction motor in the canister body.
A nozzle motor announces its end plainly. The brush roll stops turning while suction carries on as normal, or the nozzle screams, smells hot, or trips its reset breaker within a minute of being switched on. Before condemning it, check the belt and clear the roller, because a jammed brush roll will stall a healthy motor and feels identical from the handle.
It is supplied as an assembly, so it goes in as one piece rather than being rebuilt, and it is listed for the Rexair Rainbow D4SE. Unplug the machine before opening the nozzle, and note how the leads are routed before you disturb them.
