Product details

Rexair part H491B is the screw for the clamp ring on the Rainbow D4 and D4SE. The clamp ring is what pulls the assembly tight, and this screw is what pulls the ring.

Screws in a clamping joint have a harder life than they look like they do. They are tightened and released every time the machine is serviced, and eventually the threads round off or the head chews out. A screw that no longer draws down leaves the ring loose, and a loose ring cannot hold the joint closed the way it was designed to.

These are cheap enough to replace on sight rather than fight with. Compare the thread and length to the one you removed, and if the original came out hard, check the mating threads before you run a new screw into them.
