Part D235-0300 is the male half of the handle wiring connector on Simplicity 6000 series and Riccar 4000 series uprights, supplied pre-wired with its lead wires attached. Wires are already crimped onto this connector at the factory, and once installed, this is where the handle's own wiring joins the rest of the machine's harness, carrying switch power down toward the motor.

Connectors at this joint take repeated flexing every time the handle is reclined or the machine is stood upright for storage, and that flexing is what eventually cracks the housing or works a pin loose. Intermittent power at the switch, or power that only cuts out at certain handle angles, points here before it points anywhere else in the wiring.
