Switch knob guide for the Riccar 8000 series, part B428-0400. This molded guide holds the power switch knob in its track on the vacuum body, keeping the knob aligned so it slides between positions with a clean, definite action instead of binding or rocking sideways.

A cracked or worn guide is easy to diagnose: the knob feels sloppy, sits crooked, or drops out of the housing entirely even though the switch behind it is fine. Because the guide is a plastic part carrying every press over the life of the machine, it is a normal service replacement rather than a sign of a deeper electrical problem.
