Charcoal secondary filter for Riccar 8000 Series and Simplicity 7000 Series uprights, part number B622-0300. This is the version cut for machines built with onboard tools; the equivalent for 7000 and 8000 Series uprights without onboard tools is B622-0400, so identify which body style you own before ordering.
A secondary filter sits after the bag and ahead of the motor. Charcoal in the media grabs the odor-carrying particles that slip through the bag along with the fine dust, which is what makes the difference with pet and smoke smells that otherwise come straight back out of the exhaust.
