Charcoal end cap for the handle on Riccar 8000 and Simplicity 7000 series upright vacuums, sold as part B431-1031. The cap closes off the top of the handle tube, giving the grip a finished end and keeping dust and debris out of the open tube.

End caps are usually lost rather than worn out, typically when a handle is taken apart for cord or switch work and the cap goes missing in the process. It is an inexpensive way to finish a repair properly and it stops the exposed tube edge from catching on clothing or scuffing walls.
