Base plate screw A732-2300 is the fastener Riccar and Simplicity use to hold the base plate onto a wide span of their upright vacuums. One screw is supplied per order, so count the screw bosses on your plate before checking out.

Screws in this position are usually the first hardware to fail on a well-serviced machine: the heads round out and the threads pick up carpet fiber after the plate has been off a few times for belt or brush strip work.
