Part B354-2800 is the lock ring for the neck of a compact power nozzle. It clamps around the pivoting neck where it enters the nozzle housing, holding the joint together so the head can swivel and lay flat without the neck lifting out of its seat.
Play at this joint is the usual reason a nozzle starts feeling vague to steer. A ring that has cracked or lost its grip lets the neck rock, which then leaks air at the connection and puts the wiring routed through the pivot under repeated strain.
