Product details

Cord restraining strap for Simplicity and Riccar uprights, part B332-0014. The strap secures the power cord at the point it passes into the machine housing, so a hard yank pulls against the strap and housing rather than reaching the internal wiring connection directly.

Nobody notices strain relief until the day it lets go. When this strap breaks or disappears, every pull on the cord goes straight to the connection point instead, and an intermittent machine, a nicked conductor or a cord that slips partway out of the housing tends to follow before long.
