Male electrical connector that mounts on the handle of Riccar and Simplicity 4000 and 6000 series uprights. Stock number A235-0300; the identical component has also been catalogued as D235-0300.
This is the contact block that carries power up through the handle. Pins that are burnt, bent or loose in the housing make the machine cut in and out as the handle moves, and that intermittent contact is what most people mistake for a failing switch or a bad cord.
