Product details

Black left-hand pivot bushing for MV-platform Simplicity and Riccar upright vacuums, part B470-2000B. Inside the pivot, this bushing gives the joint a replaceable wear surface to rotate against, instead of letting the bracket itself take the friction and wear down over time.

By design, this bushing is meant to wear out first, and replacing it is the inexpensive half of any pivot repair. If one side of a pivot starts to feel sloppy, makes noise, or stiffens up, a fresh bushing there is usually the fix, and doing both sides together keeps wear even going forward instead of trading a loose side for a stiff one.

  • Side: left-hand
  • Color: black
  • Platform: MV series
  • Vendor part number: B470-2000B

Confirm your machine is the MV platform rather than PV before ordering. The two platforms use different pivot bushings, so check your parts diagram or compare the old bushing's shape if you are not sure which one your upright has. Replacing a worn bushing without checking the bracket it seats in only fixes half the joint if the bracket itself is also cracked.
