Service replacement pressure switch hose assembly for Riccar and Simplicity MV-platform uprights, part number D480-5000.
This short length of tubing links the airflow path to the pressure switch. The switch reads the change in vacuum inside the machine and drives the bag indicator, so the hose has to stay sealed and clear for that reading to mean anything. A tube that has hardened, kinked, pulled off its barb or split at the end gives the switch a false signal, which is why a machine can show a full bag alert over a fresh bag, or stay silent when the bag is genuinely packed.
