The neck (part B351-7214) for the Riccar and Simplicity full size power nozzle, commonly abbreviated FSPN in the parts catalog. The neck is the pivoting throat that links the wand to the nozzle body, carrying both the airflow and the swivel action that lets the head follow you around furniture.
Necks take a beating. They are the joint that flexes every time the nozzle is laid flat or dragged sideways, and a cracked or sloppy neck shows up as a loss of suction at the joint, a head that will not hold its angle, or wand connections that pop apart mid-clean.
