Part B370-3100 is the cast pivot bushing fitted to PV-platform Riccar and Simplicity upright vacuums. The bushing is the sleeve the pivot turns inside, giving the joint a hard bearing surface so the moving parts ride on the casting instead of wearing into the surrounding housing.
Worn pivot hardware announces itself as play: the joint feels loose, rocks from side to side and no longer holds position the way it did new. Replacing the bushing is the small, inexpensive fix that puts the movement back where it belongs.
