Part B370-3100 is a cast pivot bushing built for PV-chassis Riccar and Simplicity upright vacuums. It functions as the sleeve inside which the pivot pin rotates, and that sleeve is what gives the joint a durable bearing face, letting the moving parts wear against the replaceable casting rather than chewing into the housing around it. This listing covers the bushing by itself, separate from the bracket that holds it and the pin that turns inside it.
A pivot that has worn loose gives itself away through play in the joint. The upright rocks from one side to the other at the base, and it stops locking into position the crisp way it once did. Swapping in a new bushing is a cheap, quick way to restore that tight movement, rather than letting the joint go on getting sloppier with every use.
