D370-1100C is the current baseplate assembly used as the replacement part on PV platform uprights from Riccar and Simplicity. The baseplate is the flat underside of the nozzle: it keeps the brush opening square to the carpet and is the surface that drags across every floor the machine crosses.

Worn baseplates are easy to overlook because the machine still runs normally. What changes is the gap at the front edge, which lets the vacuum pull room air instead of carpet, so pickup drops with nothing else appearing to be wrong.
