Replacement natural bristle brush strip, part B351-1800, in the short length fitted to the steel agitator inside Riccar and Simplicity power nozzles. The strip seats into a channel along the agitator body and is the surface that does the actual work on carpet pile.
Bristles wear down and splay long before the agitator itself gives out, and the symptom is a nozzle that still spins freely but no longer lifts pile or brings embedded grit to the surface where the airflow can take it. Fitting new strips restores that action for a fraction of what a complete agitator costs.
