Direct air motor assembly for Riccar Brilliance and Simplicity Synchrony upright vacuums, built by Ametek and sold complete as part number D486-2000. It is the replacement motor unit for the original MV-platform Tandem Air machines.

These uprights run a pair of motors, and this one is the direct air side. A motor that has started to howl, run hot, or shut down part way through a job has usually reached the end of its brush life, and a fresh assembly restores the machine to its original airflow rather than masking the problem.
