Product details

Inlet seal for Riccar uprights built on the MV and PV platforms, part B480-4700. This is the gasket that closes the gap between the hose cuff and the machine's inlet port so the suction path stays sealed.

Rubber seals harden and flatten as they age. Once one stops compressing, air leaks in at the port and the hose and attachments feel weak even though the motor, bag and filters are all fine — which is why the seal is worth checking before chasing a larger repair.
