Product details

Left-hand scroll housing in black for MV-series Riccar and Simplicity motor assemblies. This is the inner half of the scroll: the piece that sits behind the fan and closes off the back of the air path so the fan can build pressure instead of spilling air sideways.

Technicians normally change a scroll half while the motor is already out for a fan or bearing job. Chips at the mounting bosses and hairline cracks in the shell bleed off airflow that should be moving through the vacuum, so it is worth inspecting both halves whenever a fan is replaced. The outer right-hand piece from the same assembly is listed under B486-0214.
