Powered wand hose assembly D338-0600, the replacement electric hose for Riccar Prima and Simplicity Wonder canister vacuums. It carries suction and the electrical feed for the power nozzle in one run from the canister inlet to the wand.
An electric hose fails differently from a plain one. Suction can stay perfectly strong while the power nozzle flickers, cuts out mid-stroke or stops responding altogether, because the conductors inside the wall of the hose break long before the tube itself does.
