Black bag-compartment cover for the Riccar R20D, ordered as D434-3314. On 20 Series clean air uprights this is the outer panel that closes over the bag chamber, and it is the piece most likely to crack when the machine tips into a stair edge or a door frame.

Fitting a new one matters more than appearance. A bowed or chipped cover no longer closes tight against the compartment, and air that enters there bypasses the bag on its way to the motor. If the moving hardware is what failed rather than the panel itself, look instead at the dust cover lever assembly (D480-2300), which covers R20D among other 20 Series models, or the latch assembly (D480-3200).
