    The Riccar R25 handle shim kit, part number D602-0001, is the factory field fix for handle fit on R25 series uprights. It addresses two related complaints: grips that no longer sit tight on the handle tube, and slack where the handle meets the vacuum body.

    Listed models are the Riccar R25P and R25D. Shims take up the clearance that opens with use, so the handle stops rocking under hand pressure without any part of the machine being replaced outright. It is a quick bench repair, and a far cheaper answer than a new handle assembly when the tube and grips are otherwise sound.
