Product details

Replacement power switch for the Riccar R25D and R25P upright vacuums, part A328-1299. This is the switch itself, the component carrying current through to the motor, and it is the part behind a machine that will not start, starts only sometimes, or has to be held in position to keep running.

Switch contacts wear by arcing every time the machine is turned on and off, which is why a switch on a commercial-duty upright is often replaced more than once in the life of the motor it feeds. Before fitting one, check the cord and the handle harness as well: an intermittent break upstream looks identical from the front of the machine and is the more common fault on a vacuum that has been dragged by its cable.
