RF40G is the premium filter kit for Riccar Radiance uprights, listed for the R40P and R40. It is the top specification set Riccar offers for these machines, and packs three filters: a direct air motor filter, a pleated HEPA media filter, and granulated charcoal for odor control.
Granulated charcoal is what separates this kit from the standard RF40 set. Loose granules present far more surface area than a flat impregnated sheet, so odors from pets, cooking and damp carpet are absorbed more thoroughly. The motor filter blocks dust before it reaches the motor, and the HEPA media stage cleans the exhaust air on its way out.
