B434-2514 is the gasket that seals the bag mount on M700, R20 and S20 uprights from Riccar and Simplicity, filed under the CC parts group. It sits where the bag collar meets the mounting plate, and since every bit of debris the machine picks up has to pass through that seam on the way to the bag, this gasket takes constant use.
As the rubber hardens or splits with age, fine dust bypasses the bag and works its way into the chamber instead of staying trapped inside it. Two signs point to a failed seal here: dust streaking down the outside of the bag, and a musty odor that builds up as the machine runs.

Riccar and Simplicity used more than one bag mount design within the CC group, so hold the new gasket up against your mounting plate before installing it, checking that the collar opening and outer edge both line up cleanly.
