The nozzle hose is the short ribbed duct carrying airflow from the nozzle up into the bag compartment of an upright. Part B225-0114 is the black blow-molded version, supplied for Riccar and Simplicity uprights built without an onboard tool set.
Because it flexes every time the handle is reclined, this hose is a wear item. Splits normally start at the cuffs, and a split hose costs you suction at the floor even though the motor still sounds perfectly healthy.
