Replacement HEPA filter cartridge with Teflon-treated media for Tacony-built whole-house central vacuum power units, ordered as part number TC-F4610 and also referenced as the CI60 filter. It is the correct self-cleaning filter for the C4, C6 and C10 central units sold under the Riccar and Simplicity names.

The filter sits between the dirt canister and the motor, so it takes the full load of fine grit and drywall dust that a house-wide pipe run collects. Media that has packed up chokes airflow long before the motor sounds any different, and the first symptom is usually weak suction at the inlets furthest from the unit. Swapping the filter is the cheapest thing you can do to bring the system back to full pull.
