D354-0900 is the neck button assembly for the Riccar and Simplicity compact power nozzle: the spring-loaded release on the neck that lets the wand lock upright for storage and drop back down for cleaning under furniture.
When the button sticks, sinks into its recess, or no longer holds the wand at the angle you set, the button assembly is the economical repair rather than a whole new neck. It belongs to the same compact nozzle family served by the neck assembly D354-1000, the neck lock ring B354-2800 and the compact nozzle squeegee B354-0900.
