D354-0900 is the neck release button assembly for the Compact power nozzle used on Simplicity and Riccar central vacuum systems. Pressing this button is what releases the nozzle neck from the wand so the nozzle can be angled or removed.

A button that has gone stiff, or one that no longer releases the catch at all, is a common failure point on a power nozzle that otherwise still runs and cleans normally. It is a small assembly, but without it the nozzle can be difficult to detach for storage or for switching to another tool.
