The main printed circuit board is the control hub of a Riccar or Simplicity upright. It accepts incoming line power, switches the motor circuit, and supplies the low-voltage rail that the board logic and indicators depend on. Part B318-1401K is the version built with 8-volt regulation, intended for PV-platform machines at revision .7 or newer.
Consider this board when a vacuum refuses to start, cuts out at random, or behaves unpredictably at the switch after the power cord, switch and motor have each tested good. Board revisions are not interchangeable, so read the marking on the board you are pulling out and match it before you order.
