The black internal air path for PV-platform Riccar and Simplicity Tandem Air uprights, sold under part number B380-1014. This is the molded duct inside the body that channels dirt-laden air from the nozzle through to the bag compartment, and it has to stay sealed and unobstructed for the machine to move the air it was designed to move.
Ducts crack at the mounting bosses, warp with heat, or hold a permanent blockage from a sock or a handful of carpet padding that never came out. Any of those shows up as suction that seems fine at the hose but poor at the floor.
