Product details

B380-1014 is the molded duct that routes dirt-laden air, carrying it from the nozzle back to the bag compartment inside a PV-platform Riccar or Simplicity Tandem Air upright. For the machine to pull air the way it is built to, this passage has to stay both sealed and free of obstruction end to end.

These ducts tend to crack right at the mounting bosses, warp under heat, or trap something solid, a sock or a chunk of carpet padding, that never made it all the way through. Any one of those problems leaves you with suction that checks out fine at the hose but falls off noticeably once you get down to the nozzle.

  • Part: B380-1014, internal air path duct
  • Color: black
  • Platform: PV upright chassis
  • Sold: individually

Look over the mating seals while you have this part removed, since pairing a fresh duct with a hardened old seal still lets air escape. It is also worth shining a light through the duct's length before refitting it, so a hairline crack or trapped debris does not end up sealed back inside the machine.
