Reflective tape, part B018-1400C, for Riccar and Simplicity uprights in the 5000, 7000 and 8000 series. This is the reflective strip that carries across the nozzle so the machine is visible when it is left standing in a dim corridor or an unlit room mid-shift.
The strip is a self-adhesive trim piece, and it is normally replaced for cosmetic reasons: solvent cleaners lift an edge, or years of being pushed under furniture have scuffed the reflective face until it no longer catches light. Clean the channel down to bare plastic and let it dry fully before laying the new tape, or the adhesive will not take.
