Part B351-7914 is the retainer nozzle plug for full-size power nozzles, the FSPN family used on Riccar and Simplicity canister vacuums. The plug caps the retainer opening in the neck area of the nozzle, keeping the assembly closed and sealed once the neck hardware is in place.
Small closures like this are routinely lost during a service or broken when a nozzle is dropped, and an open port lets the neck joint leak air that should be reaching the agitator. It is a low-cost item worth ordering alongside any other neck work rather than on its own trip.
