Part B351-7914 is the retainer plug used on full-size power nozzles built for Riccar and Simplicity canister vacuums. The plug seats into the nozzle housing and locks an internal component in place, so a plug that has popped out or gone missing leaves that component free to shift while the nozzle is in use.

A missing or broken retainer plug is easy to miss on a visual check because the nozzle can still look fully assembled from the outside. It tends to surface as a rattle from the nozzle, or as a part working itself loose again shortly after a repair that seemed to fix it. Because the plug is small and inexpensive relative to the rest of the nozzle, it is worth ruling out before replacing a larger assembly.
