Steel bearing cartridge for the brushroll in Riccar and Simplicity power nozzles built on the clamp design, coded PN MV and stocked as part B475-1800. The cartridge carries the end of the agitator and lets it spin freely. When the bearing dries out or the cage breaks up you get a rumble that rises with brush speed, a brushroll that drags on the belt, or a brush that stops turning altogether.
Bearings wear as a pair. If one end has gone noisy the other is rarely far behind, so most people replace both while the nozzle is open. Part B475-1800 is the steel cartridge on its own; for designs built around a pre-assembled holder the equivalent is C012-1500. Parts commonly changed with it:
- B375-3700, end cap cover for the clamping design
- B375-3400, aluminum agitator pulley
- B388-2400C, acrylic felt top seal for the agitator chamber
