    This pulley, part B220-1200, drives the brushroll on ultralightweight uprights fitted with a flat drive belt and a clamped-style agitator. It sits at the shaft end of the roll where the belt rides, and as its groove wears down or it begins to slip against the shaft, the roll turns at less than belt speed, which shows up as weaker grooming even with a brand new belt installed.

    Because this pulley clamps onto the brushroll rather than pressing on, confirm the clamp style matches your agitator before ordering. Riccar and Simplicity have used more than one pulley design on their ultralightweight machines, and a pressed-on pulley taken from a different build will not seat correctly here.
