This cord kit replaces the power cord on the Riccar SupraLite RSL5C, the Hall-sensor version of that ultralightweight upright, sold as part D434-1900.

A machine with a failing cord runs one moment and cuts out the next as the cord flexes near where it meets the housing, then comes back once it is straightened out again. That behavior points to a conductor breaking inside the insulation, and no amount of tape or twisting fixes it for good.

Make sure you have the Hall-sensor RSL5C rather than an earlier RSL5 before ordering, since the two take different cord kits and the wrong one will not seat properly at the strain relief. Fitting a full kit instead of splicing loose wire also puts a fresh connector on the wall-plug end, so you avoid troubleshooting a second failure a few months later. Order D434-1900.
