This tilt lock pivot links the parts of the tilt-lock mechanism that let an upright vacuum drop out of its stored position and recline into cleaning angle, sold as part B370-3600. Once it wears through or snaps, the handle either will not release from upright, or drops with no detent to hold the cleaning angle.
The pivot fits the PV chassis, the platform behind the Riccar Radiance line, along with earlier MV-based uprights. Each time someone stands the machine upright or reclines it for use, this pivot takes on that load, which is why it wears out faster than most other plastic parts on these bodies.
