The nozzle inlet tube, part B017-0213, is the short duct that carries airflow out of the nozzle and up toward the bag chamber on Riccar and Simplicity uprights. Every particle the machine picks up passes through it, which is why a cracked or distorted tube shows up immediately as lost suction at the floor even though the motor sounds fine.
