This foam filter serves the post-motor stage on Riccar Vibrance uprights across the Entry, Classic, Standard and Commercial builds. Air reaches it after the motor, so what it traps is the fine carbon and dust the motor itself sheds rather than anything picked up off the floor.

Because that material is fine and dark, a used post filter looks dirty long before airflow suffers, and a filter left in past that point starts to work against the machine. Keep a spare with the vacuum if it runs on a commercial route. Simplicity Symmetry machines use the same style of filter under part number B222-1400.
