Hide A Hose Rough-In Valve ...

Product details

Rough-in is where a 6000 PRO valve installation begins, and part HS6000R is the kit for that stage. It contains the rough-in valve itself, a mounting brace, a reducer, a yellow mud cover, four mud cover screws and a leveling shim.

The 6000 PRO changed how Hide A Hose valves go in. On the earlier valves the housing arrived with the trim kit and went in at finish, while here the valve housing is installed during rough-in behind the drywall and only the trim goes on afterward. The kit is called for on new construction and on retrofits alike.

Mounting is to the inside of the stud rather than to its face, which keeps the drywall from bowing around the valve the way it can with inlets fastened to the front of a stud. The leveling shim is in the kit to square the valve up before the wall closes in over it.

The 6000 PRO uses a push and pull lock, so the hose can be stopped and used at any length rather than only fully extended. Confirm your system is the 6000 PRO line before ordering, since rough-in parts are not shared across valve lines.
