Product details

This belt is built to the Royal and Dirt Devil Style 4 and Style 5 pattern, and it's stocked as part FB425 for uprights that call for either of those two belt styles.

Dirt Devil publishes a single Style 4/5 belt of its own, part 3720310001, alongside separate Style 4 and Style 5 belts, so one belt part genuinely does cover both callouts across the machines it lists. The belt stretches around the motor shaft and the brushroll, and the tension it holds is what keeps the roll turning fast enough to comb dirt and pet hair free of the carpet pile.

  • Part: FB425, Style 4/5 brushroll belt
  • Fits: Royal and Dirt Devil uprights specifying Style 4 or Style 5
  • Function: drives the brushroll for carpet agitation

A belt in this style class typically lasts a year or more of regular use before it stretches enough to slip; a roll that spins slowly or not at all while the motor sounds normal is the usual tell. Check your old belt's style number against your owner's manual if you're not sure which one your machine takes.
