Small rubber end cap, part B351-4400, used on the full-size power nozzles fitted to Riccar and Simplicity canister vacuums. The cap closes off the end of the nozzle housing and takes the abuse of every baseboard and chair leg the head runs into, so it is one of the first pieces to split, harden or disappear entirely.
Replacing it is inexpensive insurance. A missing cap leaves an open edge that scuffs furniture and lets the housing collect debris, and the rubber also absorbs impact that would otherwise crack the plastic shell around it.
