Sized for a 38 mm hose fitting, this compact turbo brush spins its roller on suction alone and works loose the hair, lint and grit that plain airflow slides over. The dark grey housing is small enough to steer one-handed across cushions, stair treads, seat backs and mattresses, where a full-width floor head is awkward and slow.
There is no motor and no wiring in it, so nothing can burn out, and the only maintenance the tool ever needs is clearing thread and hair from the ends of the roller before the turbine loses speed. Fitment is the one thing to get right. Part 6179DA is the 38 mm version; a setup built around the 1-1/4 in. standard can still take it, but as two pieces rather than one, using the 6179CLR cuff, which SEBO lists as requiring the 1766ST adapter alongside it. If your wand is already 1-1/4 in., part 6175CFF is the same hand-held turbo brush supplied with that neck moulded in, and it saves the adapter stack entirely.

Neither neck size cleans better than the other; the number on the box is about your hose, not about the carpet. What does change results is airflow, since the turbine is driven by it: a bag near full or a loaded pre-motor filter will slow this roller noticeably while the suction at the nozzle still feels reasonable. Start with fresh consumables and let the brush dwell on one area rather than sweeping quickly across it.
