SEBO Shag Rake Carpet Tool, Light Gray — Friction Fit

Deep pile hides its dirt. Sand, grit and hair sink past the tips of a shag or long-pile rug and settle down near the backing, where a floor head riding along the surface never reaches them. The 6390SR rake has widely spaced teeth that comb down into that depth, bringing what is trapped there up toward the airflow and standing the crushed pile back upright on the way through.

Use it in overlapping strokes and work heavily walked areas in two directions, since pile that has been flattened in one direction releases very little until it has been lifted against the lie. The rake is a friction fit and needs the 1 1/4 in. adapter 1766ST to join a SEBO wand. Colour is light gray.

Long-pile rugs, flokati, sheepskin, high-twist wool and shag runners are the surfaces it exists for, and it is also the safest way to clean them, since a rotating brush roll can chew a long pile and pull the tufts loose. Teeth that have snapped off or bent sideways leave lanes of uncleaned carpet behind the tool, which is the point at which a fresh SEBO shag rake is worth ordering.
