Replacement short nylon bristle strip for the steel agitator used in Riccar power nozzles, stocked as part B351-2000. Each strip locks into a channel that runs the length of the brushroll, and since the bristles give out long before the metal roll underneath does, putting new bristles in an old roll runs far cheaper than buying a whole replacement agitator.
Nylon is a general-purpose bristle, stiff enough to work compacted dirt out of cut-pile carpet as the roll turns. Once the tips wear round and sit flush with the roll body, the agitator glides across the carpet surface rather than digging into it, and pickup falls off even though the motor still runs normally.
